Webinar: How to Write a Successful Test Plan

As the saying goes, “A good plan is work half done,” and we couldn’t agree more. In scientific fields today, it’s more important than ever for researchers to maximize time, effort, and resources in their testing. To help our Technical Support Recipients meet these needs in their TEAMER support activities, all TSRs complete a detailed, well-developed Test Plan together with their facility partner before any research begins. But how does one write a good test plan, what should be included, and how can it help keep research on track?

On May 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. Pacific, TEAMER Technical Board member and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory mechanical engineer Dr. Rob Cavagnaro presented a webinar discussing what makes up a successful scientific test plan, including info specific to Marine Energy research and the TEAMER program. The recording is presented here (along with the transcript) for any who missed the event or would like to revisit the content.

Presenter
