Facility Overview

Established in 1999, yet2 is a global Open Innovation (OI) and Solutions Scouting firm with offices in the US, Europe, and Japan. In addition to decades of experience in scouting, yet2 has also been helping clients commercialize new technology, implement OI capabilities in their organizations and leverage investment expertise via our venture arm, Chartline Capital Partners (Chartline), where we advise/mentor portfolio companies and regularly analyze startups.

We have been successfully bringing together entrepreneurial talent, investment capital, and commercial and US Government clients for over 25 years. yet2’s network is constantly refreshed with new startups as we address clients’ external challenges. Our networks include the academic and research communities, incubators and accelerators, several proprietary databases of entrepreneurs and startups built over 25 years, our online presence, community-based organizations, and our team’s own relationships.

Commercialization

yet2 works with clients to monetize IP assets, find new markets and contacts, draft communications, and close deals. yet2 can assess the potential value of platforms, identify and approach interested targets and help negotiate license agreements or direct sales of the assets. In addition, yet2’s deep experience and broad list of past clients – 25 years and 10s of thousands of opportunities to commercialize technology – means that we can make truly anonymous technology acquisitions when privacy and discretion are paramount. yet2 combines our technology commercialization work, a proprietary methodology of Voice of Customer (VOC), identification and review of Comparative Value Propositions™ (CVP™), IP review, business model assessment and negotiation strategy/tactics, with our venture-arm-inspired mentoring methodologies to support startups. yet2 helps startups and small companies understand their target market, provides connections to resources among our many networks, and teaches technical professionals to articulate their pitch to potential partners and investors. Further, several of our team mentor entrepreneurs through Pacific Community Ventures, CareerSpring, the Clean Tech Open and the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation.

Mentoring

yet2 and our venture arm, Chartline Capital Partners, regularly work with startups looking to grow their business. Whether we are engaged to facilitate an introduction between a startup and a client considering an investment or working with a portfolio holding, yet2 prepares startups and founders to understand their market, how they fit in the market and how to engage suppliers, customers and investors to succeed.
